How to Make Pineapple Moonshine

Toes in the sand, a warm summer breeze, palm trees swaying and a cold drink in your hand, a perfect summer daydream. Wherever you may be in the world, summertime is prime time for tropical flavors. These flavors often come in some of your favorite seasonal tropical fruits, especially the oh-so-sweet n’ tasty Pineapple. The refreshing taste of pineapple is certainly a treat on any hot summer day, especially when you mix it into your favorite drink. Lucky for you this article is dedicated to combining moonshine and pineapple and this recipe really captures those mouthwatering tropical flavors.

Pineapple Moonshine Recipe

This pineapple moonshine recipe captures all the natural sugars and flavors from fresh pineapple and transforms your plain moonshine into a sweet alcoholic drink. But don’t be fooled, moonshine will still pack a punch and definitely give you a strong summer buzz, so shine responsibly. 

Gather the Goods

  • 1 ripe pineapple- (you can tell if the pineapple is ripe if you can pluck a top leaf with ease) 
  • ½ cup white sugar 
  • 1 bottle 750 ml of grain alcohol – Moonshine/Everclear
  • 1 small lemon 

Follow These Simple Steps

  • Cut pineapple into small squares. 
  • Separate evenly into 2 different mason jars
  • Cut lemon into thin slices 
  • Separate lemon slices evenly into mason jars
  • Add ¼ cup sugar to each jar 
  • Pour bottle of Moonshine (Everclear/vodka are good substitutions) until brim of each moonshine jar. 
  • Seal mason jars. 
  • Shake daily. 
  • Store in a cool place for at least one week. The longer you let fruit sit in moonshine the more flavors the alcohol will pull from the Pineapple. This recipe recommends storing the jars up to a year for maximum flavor. 

Bootleg Pineapple Moonshine Recipe

Bootleg Pineapple Moonshine is the perfect paradise drink recipe; with elements of coconut and a touch more consistency with added pineapple juice mask the alcohol really well making it a very smooth and refreshing drink. This sort and simple processes allows you to enjoy your shine a bit sooner. Just watch out with each sip of this recipe it will put your butt in the sand where ever you may be. With taste this good it can be deceiving, so please shine responsibly.

Gather the Goods

  • 1 ripe pineapple 
  • 1 750 ml moonshine- (Everclear and vodka are good substitutions)
  • 1 can (qt) pineapple juice 
  • 1 16oz can coconut water 
  • 6 tablespoons of brown sugar 

Follow These Simple Steps

  • Cut pineapple into chunks 
  • Add pineapple juice, coconut water, chunks into a pot .
  • Bring to a Boil 
  • Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. 
  • Add Moonshine
  • Mix well. 
  • Separate into individual jars and seal. 
  • Store in refrigerator for at least a 5-6 days . Again, the longer the shine sits the better it will taste. Store up to a full year for maximum taste. 

Pineapple Moonshine Cocktails

Sweet Summer Shine Cooler 

  • 1oz Pineapple Moonshine 
  • .5oz Peach Moonshine 
  • Orange juice 
  • Over Ice and Splash of cherry juice 
  • Garnish with orange and cherry 

Shine in Paradise

  • 1.5 oz Pineapple Moonshine 
  • 2 oz Amaretto 
  • Slash of Cherry Juice 

Pineapple Chiller

  • 1.5 oz of Pineapple Moonshine 
  • 2 oz Lime juice 
  • 1 oz Lemon Lime Soda 
  • Pineapple infused chunks 
  • Over ice 
  • Garnish with lime 

Although you might not be in paradise, with these awesome recipes you sure will get a little slice of paradise with each sip.
