Kyle Brown is the owner of Clawhammer Supply, a small scale distillation and brewing equipment company which he founded in 2009. His passion is teaching people about the many uses of distillation equipment as well as how to make beer at home. When he isn't brewing beer or writing about it, you can find him at his local gym or on the running trail.

  • corn meal mash I use 10lb corn meal an 20lb sugar 2 tea spoons turbo yeast warm water 100 degrees let sit for 14 days when I run though still I get about 6 or 7 quarts an it is crystal clear but it taste like rubbing alcohol I have one of your 10 gal pot it works great did not use malt need some advise thanks

  • I have been making moonshine for around 15 years but im still learning! My father in law taught me how! He was an actual old timer and wanted to pass on the tradition and we made moonshine weekley during hot weather for about 9 years until he passed away. We were doing it long before the tv shows about moonshine came on the air and i quickley saw that some of the things on the tv shows just werent right!!! I am thankful for the informstion thst im getting from here and hope to talk with and learn from all of you!!! (>:

  • I am definitely interested in this deal. I don’t see any pictures of the construction. I’ve watched them being made on YouTube I’m wondering how the bottom of your still fits together do I have to bend a lip over it or does it come with the lip already bent ? Same thing with the cap I see there are rivets in it but does it also have a lip that you Sater to seal?
