Element / Adapter Kits

This product does not include a heating element, element adapter, etc. Two kits are available for purchase as an add-on below.

The kit for stainless is intended to be used in stainless steel stills and brew systems with 1.5" stainless steel ferrules and includes a stainless steel element adapter, a 1650w ULWD heating element, a 6' element cord, and 1/2" NPT thermowell.

The kit for copper is intended to be used in our 5 and 10 gallon copper stills and included a 1/2" NPT copper temp probe fitting, 1.5" copper ferrule (both to be soldered into the still boiler), a 1/2" NPT thermowell, an element adapter, a 1650w (ULWD) element, a tri-clamp, a gasket and a 6' element power cord.

      SO MUCH Better!!!

      This controller is infinitely better than its predecessor, which was prone to overheating. This one has a built-in cooling fan, and it will run for hours at 100% without even getting warm to the touch. On top of that, the support is better than the controller. On top of that, like everything else Clawhammer sells, it is about as idiot-proof as can be imagined.

      Takes guess work out of heating

      This controller has been well thought out. It has the PID mode which can hold a set temperature, so you can walk away for a bit. It also has a manual mode where you can adjust the percentage of power to fine tune your heat source. I have used this for over a year now. It is a solid well built piece of equipment.

      A noticeable improvement over the original controller i replaced after 7 years it finally burnt up from getting too hot. This new unit stays alot cooler
