An easy beer recipe that delivers every single time. This Belgian Pale Ale recipe kit comes with every pre-measured ingredient you need to brew Martin's Belgian Pale Ale, a 5-gallon all-grain batch, from grain to glass.
The Belgian Pale Ale is the everyday beer of the Antwerp region, an unshowy amber ale that Belgians drink the way others drink a lager. De Koninck is the classic example. It is malt-driven, with toasty and biscuit notes and a modest fruity spice from the yeast, and the hopping stays low so nothing overwhelms the balance. Less intense than a dubbel or a strong golden, it is built for a second and third glass.
Saaz and Styrian Goldings add a light, herbal bitterness that suits the toasty malt.
