Go from grain to glass right in your own kitchen. This English Porter recipe kit comes with every pre-measured ingredient you need to brew Martin's Cherry Chocolate Nitro Porter, a 5-gallon all-grain batch, from grain to glass.
Porter was born in early 1700s London, a dark brown beer that fueled the dockworkers and street porters it was named for. The English version is roasty but restrained, leaning more toward chocolate and toffee than the sharp burnt edge of a stout, and it stays light enough on the palate to drink by the pint.
Poured on nitro it turns silky, with a tight cascading head and a rounder, sweeter impression. This one is built around cherry and chocolate: dark malt supplies the cocoa side, and you add sweet cherry puree yourself to bring the fruit.
