Making beer at home has never been easier. This American IPA recipe kit comes with every pre-measured ingredient you need to brew Martin's Five Day IPA, a 5-gallon all-grain batch, from grain to glass.
The American IPA took the English original and rebuilt it around New World hops. West Coast brewers in the 1980s and 90s pushed the bitterness up and loaded the late additions with citrus and resinous pine, turning the India Pale Ale into a vehicle for hop aroma. It pours gold to light amber, dry and firm, with the aroma doing most of the talking.
The name here is literal. A Norwegian kveik yeast ferments warm and fast, so the beer can go from kettle to glass in about five days without the harsh edges a rushed ferment usually brings. Columbus lays down the bittering backbone while El Dorado and Nectaron carry stone fruit and tropical notes over the top.
