Phosphoric acid lowers mash and sparge water pH without adding any taste to the finished beer. Lactic acid can leave a faint tang at higher doses; phosphoric stays neutral, which makes it the pick for delicate lagers and light ales. This 10% solution is diluted for homebrew-scale dosing, so small additions move pH in manageable steps.

How to Use

• Add to mash or sparge water a few milliliters at a time to lower pH.
• Measure with a pH meter or strips after each addition.
• Use in sparge water to keep pH below 6.0 and prevent tannin extraction.
