- Moonshine (at least 80 proof)
- Apple juice concentrate
- 2 fresh honey crisp apples
- Orange Peel
- Vanilla Bean
- Black Peppercorn
- Pink Peppercorn
- Shortcut: Use Apple Pie Spice Mix
- Add 6 cups of moonshine to a pot
- Stir in 4 (12oz.) cans of apple juice concentrate
- Add spices
- Allow to sit overnight
- Strain into 3 quart jars
- Add apples and a full cinnamon stick to each jar
- Share and enjoy
A lot of people assume that apple pie moonshine needs to be heated in a crock pot or simmered during preparation. This is actually not the case and doing so will make apple shine that is bitter and also is lower proof and not as strong because alcohol will begin to evaporate at 174 degrees.
